Michael Rybicki makes sculpture and furniture in his San Diego CA studio. A minimal design aesthetic focuses on compositions that emphasize the richness and expressive merits within selected materials. From brass to concrete // wood to steel his work utilizes a range of craft techniques-traditional joinery > GFR concrete > silver soldering etc. in order to produce material compositions that build upon each other.

Largely influenced by the juncture of the natural and built environments, when not in the studio Michael is traveling to study and find inspiration in wild and urban environments.

Finally starting to fix up this big monstrosity of a 20” bandsaw I’ve had sitting around a couple of years. Going to have to get crafty for the tires as replacements are a whopping $250... might try making ones from leather like early saw
