Michael Rybicki received his BFA in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Art at San Diego State University. His work has been exhibited nationally and shown at such institutions as the Metals Museum in Memphis, TN the Knoxville Museum of Art, and the Arrowmont school of Arts and Crafts. Having grown up working in construction environments, and receiving training as a jeweler in his college career, Michael’s visual vocabulary contains a rich blend of common as well as precious materials. Currently, his latest work explores the details and sensitivities within construction materials and processes, through making sculpture with a jeweler’s hand.
